The Week 2013

THE WEEK

CESENATICO- ITALY – 14 / 21 JULY 2013

“Is The Week Baby….Is The Week”
Once a year in the month of july ,Cesenatico (Italy) harbours “The Week”  an hip hop festival  . As the name sais, is a week entirely dedicate to hip hop where you can attend classes during the day and parties at night .During the week-end you’ll also see and enjoy contests.
Stay focus on the workshops’ quality : 74 classes with the mainstays of the World Street Dance are taken in rooms  equipped with mirrors allowing 70 participants pro class.

The teachers of this year were:
Hip-Hop: Fabrice (Fra),Junior Boggie (Can), Byron (Ita)
House: Marjory (Usa) , Hiro(Jap) ,Yugson (Fra)
Poppin: Popin Pete (Usa) , Bruce (Fra), Kite (Jap)
Lockin : Yoshine (Jap) , P.Lock (Fra), Storm (Ger)
Breaking: Storm (Ger), Denis (Ita)

Really exciting classes ,as in learning as emotionally;
Every single teacher  transmitted strong emotions, they were able to let you feel  their point of view  about how they live this passion.
Personally all this world opened my mind on the method ,on how to improve the different techniques also regarding  Freestyle.
During classes it seemed to be carried in U.S.A….unfortunately after  1h30minutes we were still in Italy.

Principal Parties:

“Yacht party”
Despite the rough sea (that was the reason why we didn’t go too far from the cost) .it was an amazing and crowded party with the Dj Yugson.

“Pool Party”
There was a pool near the sea, but not an usual pool  but one with two big chutes where people plunged in the most strange ways. The Dj here was John Angesilas aka J.Ghetto.

Battles:

àSaturday- “Street Fighters World final” – The crew’ were: : Fonzarelli’s, Aayla, Sarda Force, Five to Five, Klandeskillz, Puglia Tribe, Renegade Master, Monster Kids, The End (Japan), 13eme Cercle (France), Soul Power (East Europe), DBZ (Switzerland), Abismo Crew (Balkans), Funky Habits (Greece)
Dj Smoka & Dj Yugson
Presented by Tromba

*Street Fighters was born 7 years ago 8 different countries (Japan, Mexico, France exc..) 3.000 dancers are selected  in 28 steps, the bests will participate to the final during “The Week”.
It has been created an Italian format all around the world, connecting the choreography part with the freestyle.
Observing Crews you could see how they live their passion, the way they introduce their selves and also the way they study…all of them were amazing, but the winner was  “The End ‘crew” qualify, energetic ,in synchrony  one to each other. Congratulations!!!
